Kim Simon is a frequent guest speaker at events for mothers nationwide.  Her workshop “The Truth About Motherhood” is an interactive, humorous journey through the “fourth trimester” and beyond.  She enjoys encouraging thoughtful dialogue as she helps an audience to explore and embrace the unexpected identity shift of new motherhood.  Kim’s presentations can be tailored to large audiences (conventions, conferences) or smaller gatherings (mother’s club meetings, PTA groups, etc.).

Kim is also a presenter with the I Support You project, and joins Suzanne Barston and Jamie Grumet to present a lively and thought-provoking panel discussion on infant feeding choice, and supporting breastfeeding and formula-feeding parents through education and empathy.

“The Truth About Motherhood” parent support group and infant/toddler playgroup

If you live in the East Bay (SF Bay Area), and have a child under age 3, then this free group is for you!  It’s time that we had a mom’s group that told the truth about motherhood!  We will meet every week for an informal look at what mothers truly need to survive the first few years of parenthood.  While our little ones play, we will focus on what it means to take care of ourselves, how our identity shifts after we have children, and the joys and challenges of parenting when it feels like everyone is judging you.  And of course, we’ll have snacks.  This group is about YOU mama!  Come join us, bring your little one, and make some new friends!

Please contact Kim Simon at for details on event location and registration.  This group is ongoing, and new members are always welcome.
