Welcome!

If you’ve just arrived from our old blog, then come on in and rest your feet for a minute!  We’re so glad that you found us!

If you’re wondering why my two year old is lying on the staircase with socks on his hands, then you must be new here.  Doesn’t everyone’s two year old lie on the top step and put their socks on their hands, and then raise their hands in the air and yell “Creature Power!!!”?  No??  Well, then maybe you really don’t belong here….

I realized the other day that whenever someone comes over to my house for the first time, I give them a tour.  Is that bizarre?  As in “This is the kitchen, this is my bedroom, here’s our bathroom”.  That’s kinda weird, when you stop to think about it.

So weird, that I’ll do it here on my brand new blog.

Here’s my fancy new posts, and up top is an actual picture of my actual real-life kid.  You’ll notice a twitter icon too…yep…jumping in with both feet.  I’m almost as cool now as my 16 year old sister.  #AlmostAsCool.

And in case you were wondering, there was no way in hell that I could’ve figured out how to pack this moving truck up and unload it on my own.  My dear friend Tori Porter (now forever known as The Ridiculously Brilliant One Who Configured This Entire Site, Packed Up All My Shit Without Breaking Anything, And Found The Perfect Bookshelf For My Collection Of Antiques) is responsible for this.  And for that (and a few other things, including never telling anyone my secrets and never turning down a chance to drive around and eat rolled tacos with guacamole while simultaneously screaming the lyrics to every Steve Poltz song ever written) I am forever grateful.

Aren’t we all feeling warm and wonderful now?

I hope you’ll come back to visit, and to share your own stories.  I’ll be back on Thursday to participate in Love Is Not Abuse, a nationwide day of awareness about Domestic Violence and relationship abuse.  I’m hoping that we can all add our voices to the collective rebel yell, because it’s that important.

Happy “New Blog Birthday” peeps!
